its funny seeing all the air pressure comments and he even said it in the video, when u hit the bottle it forces the bottle down and the water stays still for a second, creating a vacuum at the bottom of the bottle, and as the water rushes back into the vacuum spaces, the force of the water breaks the bottom of the bottle, thats why u can do this trick with the bottle cap on....nothing to do with pressure, all vacuum, you people need to watch discorvery channel more often!

That's cool. Years ago I had an Army buddy of mine walk up to me just after I opened my beer and he slammed the bottom of his beer on the top of mine causing mine to break like that.

heres another way to break the bottom of the bottle using a penny. find a beer that can fit a penny through. stick your one finger into the bottle. pick a finger that can barely fit in so that your can pressurize it. shake the bottle from left to right really fast and hard. This will actually punch a whole big enough the penny to go through. i didnt believe it myself until i tried it. i've done it so much i can actually break it in under three seconds.
