Faisalabad: Thousands of lawyers and millions peoples chanting slogans against President General Pervez Musharraf welcomed Pakistan's suspended chief justice on 16th June 2007 17th June 2007 as he arrived in an eastern city to address a rally opposing military rule.
Lawyers and public of Pakistan have staged street protests against Musharraf since March 9, when he ousted Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry for alleged misconduct.
Chaudhry has appealed his suspension before the Supreme Court, turning himself into a rallying point for political parties seeking the restoration of democracy.
Since his suspension, Chaudhry has travelled across the country, drawing millions peoples to the streets and rallies where he has become a spokesman against authoritarian rule.
Public of Pakistan and lawyers welcomed Chaudhry amid chants of "Go Musharraf go" as he arrived in Faisalabad, an industrial city in the eastern Punjab province.

Justice iftikhar started his compaign when southern Punjab and all Balochistan was drowning in flood waters. He had a draconic smile on his lips. Now he is again on the same political compaign when poor person takes his childrens life due to non availability of Chappati. Well done Nawaz Sharif you used this man to divert the attention of poors of Pakistan from real issue. You are successful in putting pressure on MUsharraf through a chief justice.
